Arrogant Doctors Can Kill You
Q :
by Carol from Royse City, Texas
I have Type 2 Diabetes. At yearly appointment with my Endocrinologist, I mentioned that I was using coconut oil. Without any discussion, he responded with the statement, "It's bad for your heart" and left the room rather quickly. Up until this, I had respected his advice on most subjects. How can I feel good about continuing to use coconut oil and not feel as though I am doing damage to my heart?

Ultimately YOU are responsible for your health, not me, not your doctor, YOU.

You need to research the question, not rely on me.  I have provided a great place to start. I would suggest going to the library and searching the Internet and read a few books and see what conclusion you reach.

I suspect you will find that your doctor did you a great service and you will seen realize he is a typical arrogant clueless professional who is likely providing you with equally inane advice on how to treat your problem.

I have written extensively about type two diabetes. It is curable, 100% remission is just about everyone. One of the easiest problems in the world to address.

Your doctor hasn't a clue.  Find a new one who understands health before he provides another script for you that will likely contribute to your premature demise.

Oh, the stories I could tell about the arrogant doctors I encountered in the treatment of my arthritis and diabetes. It would literally make for a small book.  They love to make you feel like you are incapable of understanding your diseases, and are insulted if you ask too many questions.  I stuck it out with them for many more years than I wanted to simply because they came highly recommended and because the search for a good doctor is so nerve-wracking.  I will never again stay with a doctor for those reasons, and the first time that any doctor gets arrogant with me, I will immediately walk out that door!  I am now doing everything that I can through dietary changes and supplements to keep myself healthy, and go to a naturopathic MD if I need to, such as when I had shingles last year.  Please stand up for yourself and don't put up with arrogant doctors.  After all, you are paying them to help you, not to stress you out with their attitude!...

What about arrogant staff??????????

I went to a simple doctor's office visit for a stomach bug (in Houston, TX): not too stupid since it was potentially life-threatening. The front desk clerk treated me like I was a f***** retard because I didn't know the answer to an insurance question, which is all something my dad takes care of. To those places, hospitals, and any other place like it, it's all business to them. I will never go there EVER again and will reconsider even giving birth in a hospital.

I have been wary of doctors since, at the age of 22, one of my husband's "specialist" doctors, who had examined his stomach with a camera down his throat and found nothing, declared that he had nothing wrong with him and that he was suffering from trauma from being married!!!!!!!! I was tempted to take the doctor my husband's death certificate some months later and shove it down his throat.
Many years later I had a problem with my knee, visited many specialists in Europe and the US, who all spoke very knowledgeably about my problem, had me x-rayed, an MRI, gave me cortisone shots, operated on it, prescribed physiotherapy, said I would always limp and left me to get on with what they had left of my life.
I was not going to give it that easily.  I remembered a 'doctor' who had never followed the allopathic route.  He had treated thousands of people with physical problems that regular doctors called 'bone' problems.  I contacted him, read his book, followed & his directives but I needed to see him personally, heal faster.  He gave me one treatment in Los Angeles and another in Vancouver, Canada.  I have never had another problem with my knee.  No limp.  No after-effects.
When I told a cardiologist friend of mine he nearly hit the roof, demanded I give hims his 'doctor's licence number' so he could check on him.  Why do these doctors fear anything which actually cures a person without drugs or expensive diagnostic machines?  If the doctors would only concentrate on the whole patient and not rely on drugs and machines, they would become much better healers.
Dr. Thomas Griner is retired now, but sells a machine which he has invented to imitate the treatment he gives with his fingers. www.biopulser.com I think an new version of the Bio Pulser will be available soon.  His book is  "What's really wrong with you?"...

I am a Diabetic.
I merely use my doctor in order to have my lab testing done, then I take my testing results and use the information I have learned on the Mercola site so that I may know what I need to do for myself.

Like many people, my insurance will not pay for me to see just any Doctor. So finding a good qualified unbrainwashed Doctor is nest to impossible for me.
My Doctor thinks I'm taking all the drugs he recommends.
I know him and to tell him different would only lead to an arguement and he would become upset with me.
However, I do not take ANY drugs. Instead, by learning from the Mercola site, I have brought my cholesterol down from 501 to 177. My LDL from 194 to 95. My Blood Glucose from 356 to 87. I do take some natural supplements including coconut oil.

Mercola is right, most others are wrong and will likely cause your health to be worse with their drug therapy.
All drugs are toxic and burden the immune system....

I have already recommended this site to several of friends concerned with health issues. The topic covered today - physician's knowledge and integrity - is really important to me. I myself was once subjected to medical professional's arrogance although the issue concerned osteopenia not diabetes. Almost 2 years on Fosamax (as prescribed by my primary doctor) finally caught up with my eyes. I started having vision problems I never had before. Google search yielded among others a link to NE Medical Journal article which was directly on point. That link, no need to say, was posted on www.mercola.com - Thank you doctor Mercola! When I told my primary physician about my research, he actually yelled at me. His final, rather loud statement was: "I totally disagree. I don't recommend you drop it (Fosamax), if  you want to treat yourself on the internet, go ahead, but don't come to me with complai
