I went to the dentist and he filled the wrong tooth! What can be done when dentists do something like this that harms a perfectly good tooth and you are still left with the tooth that has the cavity? I feel like I should never go to the dentist again!

It really depends on the dentist.  All professionals are human and not infalliable. If he made an honest mistake it might be worth it to give him a second chance, especially if you have good raport with him.

However, if the dentist is not willing to make amends for the error or has a hsitory of this than you can report him to the state medical licensing board for review.

Trust a used car salesman before you trust a doctor or a dentist (this doesn't apply to Dr. Mercola). ...

The last time I had a filling, the dentist nearly filled the wrong tooth, too! I stopped him when he started thinking out-loud, "Why did I say this tooth had a cavity?" and stated that I was wondering why he was checking the right side of my mouth when on the previous visit he indicated a problem tooth on the left side. He was a little embarrassed, but thanked me....
