A New Meaning for Dark Matter?

Even though conclusive evidence proves dark matter does exist, it hasn't been quite the boon to cosmologists and physicists as you might expect.

In fact, the revelation has given pause to more than a few scientists about a universe that's surprisingly much more complex than they ever realized.

One in which about 4 percent is made of the kind of matter our world, the countless galaxies beyond it and ourselves are made of. The rest, scientists believe, is dark, as in unknowable now and perhaps forever.

This could mean what you see in the clear night sky is merely an infinitesimal part of the entire universe and that we're nowhere near the center of it. Perhaps, it's another indication that attempting to apply conventional wisdom -- as modern medicine so often erroneously does to health -- is just as faulty.

It's an article by Jay Alfred about how scientists using NASA's "Chandra" X-ray observatory have detected a vast network of hot plasma gas streams that transfer energy and momentum between galaxies and form a web-like pattern that resembles the energy meridians within the human body.  They calculate that these cosmic energy "filaments" contain 5x more mass (dark matter) than all the stars in the universe. The author refers to this energy web as the "subtle body" of the cosmos, similar to the subtle body of meridians utilized in acupuncture therapy in humans.

macrocosm = microcosm?
cosmological body = biological body?

Several years ago, I was shown a plotted three dimensional (super computer crunched) map, or graphic representation, of the the known universe (approximately 13.8 million light years at the time), thus far charted.

The result was an unmistakable sketch (though clearly incomplete) of an anatomically correct human brain, cerebral cortex, and partial spine, made up of each of these points of light, we call 'galaxies'.

I do not know if the chart is posted somewhere on the internet, but it was indeed empirically derived, and not some urban, or cosmic legend.

The source that showed it to me is an eminent astro-cosmologist who's reputation is beyond any reproach.

No, we had not had too much to drink, at the time, and both of us are drug free (and always where).

Coincident, and dutiful observation, sometimes, not always, becomes reality.

Just goes show - things aren't always what they seem.
Just like modern medicine!

Modern medicine is getting to be a lot like a black hole.
Lots of money goes in and little good comes out :-)

Read Mark McCutcheon's book The Final Theory and see what he says on page 333 about Albert Einstein's theory. The rest of the book is worth reading, too. Carol.
