Cool Things You Can Do With Google

Most people use only about 3 percent of the available power of Google, and the techno-aficionado in me could not resist this cool article by LifeHack.org that reveals a bunch of its hidden power tools.

It includes tips like how to turn Google into a calculator, get movie reviews, the local weather and stock quotes.

Not to mention how to tap into information you'd never find on English-speaking sites by using the translation tool. There's a whole other world out there, and other countries often report and discuss topics you don't hear about here in the United States -- Google can open it up for you.

Since I'm always on the lookout for tools that can make my workflow more efficient and reduce wasted time, the Google Notebook is a really cool find. This application allows you to organize online research in a snap. For even more tools to increase your daily efficiency, also see The Secrets of How to Get Things Done Quickly & Easily.

Wow.  I need to bookmark this and spend some time exploring and using.

I already use Google mail, Google blog, and Google is part of the search bar on my Firefox.  I can even Google from my cell phone for weather, sports, movies, and more (which I need to investigate more thoroughly also).  But, there is always so much more to learn about Google - calculator? notebook?

Another cool feature is that you can look up any topic and pretty much watch a video on it. I have watched full length autopsies, surgeries, classes at college's and so forth.

Someone at Google sure has a sense of humor
take 60 seconds to do this
1. go to www.google.com
2. click on Google Maps
2. click on "maps"
3. click on "get directions"
4. type "London" in the first box (the "from" box)
5. type "New York" in the second box (the "to" box), click on “get directions”
6. notice the journey time!!! and scroll down to step 31 for directions...
