It's one thing to talk about the numbers and percentages related to all the mistakes made, more often than you'd expect, in an American medical setting. However, it's quite another to watch what happens when one mistake sets off a chain reaction of surgeries, and almost all of them were for nothing, as described in this heart-rending video (link below).

After a routine dental checkup identified a mass in a young mother's jaw, she was referred to a specialist who, then, promptly removed it. Her real problems began after the lab used by the specialist misdiagnosed the mass as an aggressive form of cancer, prompting a battery of needless treatments and a terminal prognosis.

The last thing you want to do is go through the needless trauma this woman went through as a result of a mistaken diagnosis which is why you simply must take better responsibility for your own health today.

I feel sorry for Kim and her family.  Unfortunetly that is what can happen when you trust in the medical paradigm to exclusively.  Just because they have the initials M.D. after their name, it does not make them GOD.  God is the only one who does the healing.

A billion dollar settlement could never replace what she and her family lost. Damn those so-called medical professionals who settle into mediocrity, and let such things happen. A real professional would encourage second, and even third  opinions. Being proven wrong in such instances is what a real pro would hope for. Better to be proven wrong on a diagnosis than through irreversable damage through  medical malfeasance. Unforgivable arrogance and vanity is much too prevalent in the medical establishment.

A couple of years ago, I worked at my local hospital as a unit secretary on the heart floor. A doctor that I had never seen before leaned over the counter and whispered to me and I quote: " IF YOU WANT TO LIVE A LONG AND HEALTHY LIFE....STAY AWAY FROM DOCTORS." He then walked away.

No offense to you Dr. Mercola. Its to bad that they all can't be like you!

In 1970, my wife's dentist told her she had a tooth abcess and h epulled pulled the tooth. It was later diagnosed as cancer. She went to Walter Reed Hospital. After two weeks being treated with radium needles the left side of the lower jaw was removed. Several months later, the jaw bone was replaced using part of a rib and part of the iliac crest.

She was cancer free for several years but eventually died at 32 years old from an over dose of 5FU used to treat the returning cancer.

The misdiagnosis by the dentist was the cause of the spread of the cancer.

I'd like to point out that many older doctors think they're GOD. This is an appalling thing to happen to anyone. It indirectly shows the importance of  TAKING TIME when considering your health. WE only LIVE once, and therefore the best decisions need to be made.
