Head of CDC Admits on CNN that Vaccines can Trigger Autism

Recently Julie Gerberding, the head of the CDC, appeared on Dr. Sanjay Gupta's show House Call and explained that vaccines can trigger autism in a vulnerable subset of children. This is the claim that many parents have been making since at least the 1980's, and they have been dismissed and even mocked for making it.

I find it interesting that the CDC wouldn't accept the vaccine/autism relationship until they could blame it on the children....

She pulled the figure of “33,000 children saved from death by vaccines” out of her rectum. There has been no long-term follow up of vaccinated vs unvaccinated individuals. Sounds very like the “36,000 people die from influenza” garbage when actual deaths were only 152, and the equally ludicrous “400,000 excess deaths due to obesity” when obesity is not a cause of death on any death certificate.

Gerberding is a cad and a liar!

Just wanted to share this story I came across today about the failure of Mumps vaccine (84% of those getting mumps had received the second recommended dose.) Also interesting is the age of these people(18 to 24). Is the vaccine just delaying the onset? Of course you will see the usual suspects coming back with usual excused ("If vaccines were not used, the outbreak would have been a lot worst", "We need a more effective vaccine", etc.)

Darko - I would suggest you READ up on these issues before second guessing comments of other posters who have been here to research these things.

The statistics before the 1980s' suggested autism affected between 2 and 5 children out of  10,000 kids.  Your relative might just be "genetically autistic"
