How the Government is Threatening Your Freedom to Use Supplements

Modern medicine has led us to Babylon and a wasteland of expensive and ineffective options, but without a great deal of help from the federal government. Simply put, the FDA protects corporate interests and sticks it to consumers. The agency pretends they are on the side of free trade but nothing could be further from the truth. Instead, they are on the side of regulations and special interests, all for the protection of certain multi-national corporations.

That's the message behind this short video, We Become Silent: The Last Days of Health Freedom you must watch.

As I see it, the betrayal of democracy began when profit replaced the will of the people and corporate lobbyists became the masters of the universe. If it is true that our lives begin to end the moment we become silent about things that matter, then freedom in this country has already begun to atrophy because of our inaction.

The pursuit of happiness and the promise of personal choice are eventually chipped away by complacency. If we exercise our choices just as the forces of power and money have done, you CAN make a difference. On the other hand, should we stay silent, governments will be free to replace the teachings of truth with their toxic lies.

Remember you get the government you deserve -- including all the institutional hypocracy and bias endemic to the FDA -- if you don't stand up and be counted. If everyone does their fair share, however, the good guys will eventually prevail.

As loathsome & corrupt as FDA is, I equally caution all consumers to make sure they are not also being bamboozled with wonderful sounding labels among some, not all, nutritional and dietary supplement products, as well as more that a few natural health food &organic labels, as Dr. Mercola has pointed out.

There remains many hyped, deceptive, fanciful & semantically lovely sounding ingredients out there, on some product lines, that are as dangerous, fraudulent & toxic to human health, as the bait & switch of recalled Big Pharma drugs.

Among PHONY & legally noncompliant ingredient labeling to look out for are :

Beet Juice, Evaporated Cane Juice, or Syrup, which are REFINED SUGAR (sucrose) that is metabolize as such!

Agave Nectar or Syrup, which is a criminally prosecuted false label for hydrolyzed high fructose inulin syrup, from an unsafe & toxic plant sources, triggering internal hemorrhaging, red blood cell membrane deterioration & spontaneous abortion in pregnant women at low dosage levels.

Chicory Syrup, which is a false label for chemically refined hydrolyzed high fructose inulin syrup.

Birch Bark Syrup, which is chemically created & highly laxative xylitol, an alcohol distilled polyol sweetener found in so called 'natural' toothpastes & other oral cosmetics.

Mannitol or Maltitol, from sea weed, which is a false assertion & these non GRAS polyols are cancer causing, highly laxative chemicals.

Organic Corn Syrup, is an attempt to make bad for you 42  DE corn syrup, or falsely labeled refined HFCS mislabeled, sound good.

Glucose-Fructose Syrup is a noncompliant avoidance descriptor for refined High Fructose Corn Syrup that metabolized directly to triglycerides and body fat in all humans. Crystalline Fructose or Fructose is fruit sugar, yet another FRAUDULENT representation

The xylitol laxative effect only occurs at high doses. We have sold many tens of thousands of our bars and have not had any reports of the laxative effect because we use such a low dose.

I also find that xylitol is highly laxative for me.    If I eat even a small amount of it, I suffer for many hours later.

Hi. If you think this video is good, it is mild compared to "Nutricide" -
Criminalizing Natural Health, Vitamins, and Herbs .

This is about "codex" which is set to try and be passed in the U.S. in 2009.

This is a MUST SEE. It is free to watch on google video. :)

This is the link -

Another good one is "The Future of Food" also on google video. :)

I think the xylitol effect is highly individual. My husband can eat moderate amounts of xylitol or other sugar alcohols with no problem. I have a laxative effect with even very small amounts. It is not dose dependant for me at all.

I don't have any studies or anything to back that up, only my own experience.
