Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut Add a New Menu Item: Calories

Yum Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut, has announced plans to begin posting product calorie information on the indoor menu boards nationwide at company-owned restaurants.

This comes at a time when more states and municipalities are considering requirements for restaurant chains to post consumer nutritional information.

About 4,000 of Yum's company-owned stores will begin to post calories on menu boards. All 20,000 of the company's stores will do so by January 1, 2011.

ICK!  And to think I enjoyed this stuff all the time.
Remember the article last year sometime that revealed that Pizza Hut's cheese was made with silicone to make it cosmetically appealing?

We LOVE to make pizza at home.  My daughter gets a big kick out of picking out her own toppings, applying it on the pie, etc.  It's an aweome kid's activity.
