Perhaps most importantly, it can lead to your losing the things in your life which are truly important.

Once again, the example of Tim Russert
comes to mind.  He was truly burning the
candle at both ends from all reports.

Balance in life's activities is a must to live well.

Hi Papa Lee, but his doctor said he was exercising and taking his heart medication........
Stress is a big killer, but no one will look at the link between death and pharmaceutical drugs.

The price I paid for long-term overload...chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia Since mid 2001.

Always striving to be the best I could be on my job, making no mistakes, helping co-workers over and over again who refused to take notes, job responsibilities that 3 people should have been doing...all for an insufficient income and little to no recognition. I am sure that most hard working people can relate to that.

But, it finally broke me down and I have not been able to work outside the home since. I ignored the warning signs. I would not wish this on anyone...don't ignore the warning signs... take better care of yourself, take breaks, do things that will relieve the stress, like laughing alot and spending more time with family and friends.

Chronic Stress will take your life away if you don't do something about it!

Yes...Aaltrude...I found some very good supplements to use about 2 years ago. They have helped me alot, but stress is stilla major factor in how I feel on a day to day basis. Multi tasking is a killer for me and I get very confused when doing more than 1 thing at a time.

Thanks very much for the info. I will definitely check Dr. Pall's website out.

WellnessMom - if you not already familiar with the work of Dr Martin Pall PhD in regards to Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity etc, which he considers all have the same root cause, you would probably find it very interesting in terms of learning further steps you can take to help reduce your symptoms. He advocates supplements rather than drugs.

This is his website:
http://molecular.biosciences.wsu.edu/faculty/pall/pall_main.htm

He has also written a book explaining his NO/OHNOO theory of the cause of these illnesses which also has an extensive chapter on factors that should help reduce symptoms. People do appear to be finding relief using his protocols. His book is available from Amazon.

There is also an email list on Yahoo called "TenthParadigmSociety" for people who want to discuss the use of his protocol. Dr Pall is a member of this list and responds to questions asked of him.
