Is The Price of the Iraq War Really Worth It?

At the very same time the cost of health care has skyrocketed for businesses and employees without an end in sight in America, so has the fiscal and human toll of the ongoing war in Iraq, no matter how you stand politically, according to this excellent MSNBC piece.

Depending on what study you're reading at the time, the amount of money being spent in Iraq ranges from $255 million a day to more than $7 BILLION per month, with a final price tag expected to exceed $1 TRILLION.

What's more, any final total must include all the harm done to the Iraqi people, a seemingly incalculable task considering more than 750,000 innocent civilians who have died there.

Let's hope the drain on our country's human and fiscal capitol can be stanched somewhat with yesterday's departure of Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld, the former chairman of Gilead Sciences, the developers of Tamiflu that profited mightily from the imaginary bird flu pandemic.

You will never get the real scoop on mainstream television.  You will never get the full story in public school textbooks.

If you want to know what the Iraq war, and this whole "war on terrorism" is all about, then I implore you to watch this documentary from beginning to end, and pass the truth on.

For free on google video:

In conclusion, a couple powerful quotes:

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."

I think Mike is on the right track.  I do not give my opinion easily, it is only after many months of research on various topics affecting the war on terror that I understandd what is really going on.  First it is about money, just think how many big companies are making oddles of money off of the war.  Also, there is a lot of frustration about what really happenen on 911, you need to check out many web sites with 911 in their name to start reading and understanding and begin to question the official story and how our government responded.

My conclusion after this research is that the American people are becoming slaves to the ideals propogated by big business or the Illuminate (check this out on the Web also).  They plan to (fineprint in Nafta treaty)  merge the U.S. with Canada and Mexico into the North American Union.  They, the Illuminata want to have one world order, there will be the European Union, then North American, Asia, African and Soviet Unions and of course Central American Union.

In order to change us into the North American Union, Bush is doing everything possible to weaken America, hence no serious activity with the borders, Katrina, fostering Spanish as the secondary language, sending many jobs overseas, etc.  Please do not rely on my summary, check this out for yourself.  Then, and only then, will you be able to get the real picture of what this administration is all about.

There's life and there's dead! I would appreciate a world in which money is flowing towards life generating activities instead of destruction of life. Governemental decisions - taken into account that there's always a free will of choice - keep on favoring investing in destruction of life at its broadest scope. imho,a voice can no longer be preceived as a democratic currency. It does not have a sustaining value for a future I foresee. War is not my game; manipulation and egoboosting is not my game; greed is not my game. I truly believe that of all systems within and without, the system of (democratic) power is the truly terminal ill one....
